Meta has developed a new social app recently called Threads. Threads is an app from Instagram where you can post threads, reply to others and follow profiles you’re interested in. Threads and replies can include short pieces of text, links, photos, videos or any combination of them.
Tech billionaires Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk have been joking about setting up a cage match. In the business world, the fight has already begun. Twitter is believed to be competitor of Twitter as it has each and every features that the twitter has. It also has some extra features that makes thread more unique such as People can also follow you to see your threads and replies in their feed and from your profile. Who can see your posts is determined by your profile’s privacy setting. People can reply to your posts to add to the discussion or like, share, quote or repost your content. Anyone who has an Instagram account can create threads profile and the fans seems to be loving it more than twitter too because of these extra features.
Elon Musk doesn’t seem to be happy about Thread being launched right after he made changes about the users being able to tweet only once in a day. As they are fighting against each other, the fans really seems to enjoy the fight.
The features of threads also include that the users cannot deactivate or delete the app. If they want to delete it then they would also lose their instagram account as threads is a connective platform which is under instagram. Similarly, they also cannot change their profile picture but the profile picture of instagram will automatically be added to their account.
But according to Meta, Users can download and delete Threads data by visiting their Instagram settings.
Threads is now available to download in over 100 countries including the UK, but not yet in the EU because of regulatory concerns. After all, Meta has the resources to compete with Twitter. Threads will be part of the Instagram platform, so it will also be connected to hundreds of millions of accounts. It’s not starting from zero, as other would-be rivals have had to do.
Thirty million users had signed up for Meta’s newly launched Threads app on its first day, the company’s chief Mark Zuckerberg says. So, the data shows that Threads has more potential than Twitter as Thirty million may have signed up for Meta’s newly launched Threads app.
Talking about the finances, Mr Zuckerberg, whose Meta made more than $117 billion in sales last year, has a monster track record when it comes to selling adverts – and none of the apparent qualms of Mr Musk, who has disdained advertising at his electric car company, Tesla, and been looking for alternative ways to fund Twitter.
As the Threads app is newly launched, all the creators are also hopping into this trend of using threads and increase their fans following too. After all, all the instagram verified creators are getting blue ticks on threads too and Almost every influencer, whether they like it or not, or whether they want Threads to succeed or fail, will be hopping on Threads just in case it does succeed. But the question is will
But the question is, Will Threads be able to take away the identity of Twitter and be the next twitter or will it just be another flop social media platforms? Also, will it be a creative social media platform that each and every country and each and every people will have access or will some of the countries ban the app and people would actually be banned from using this app too? I guess we will find out soon.
