Animal– is a 2023 hindi langauge, action drama and a blockbuster movie directed and edited by Sandeep Reddy Vanga(a vey popular Indian film director, writer, editor and producer who works in Telugu and Hindi cinema), produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Murad Khetani and Pranay Reddy Vanga under T-Series Films, Bhadrakali Pictures and Cine1 Studios. The film stars Ranbir Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Rashmika Mandanna and Tripti Dimri.
The film was officially announced in January 2021, along with the title of the film. Principal photography commenced in April 2022 and wrapped by April 2023. The film has music composed by JAM8, Vishal Mishra, Jaani, Manan Bhardwaj, Shreyas Puranik, Ashim Kemson and Harshwardhan Rameshwar, cinematography handled by Amit Roy and editing by Sandeep Reddy Vanga. With a runtime of 201 minutes (3 hours 21 minutes), the film was one of the longest Indian films made.
The film is about a son’s love for his father, who is often away due to work and hence unable to comprehend the intensity of his son’s love. Ironically, this fervent love and admiration for his father and family creates conflict between the father and son.
Ranvijay “Vijay” Singh is the son of Balbir Singh, a Delhi-based business magnate who heads the generational steel company “Swastik Steels corp.” His family includes Balbir, his mother, grandfather Rajdheer and sisters Reet and Roop. Vijay has adored Balbir since childhood, but Balbir neglects him and behaves harshly due to his busy schedule. When Vijay brings an AK-47 to school and hurts a group of boys who bullied Reet, Balbir sends him away to a boarding school in United States.
In the film, Ranvijay “Vijay” Singh learns about an assassination attempt on his father and sets out to exact revenge.
There are a lot of plot twists and secondary stories that makes the movie more interesting but some of the viewers might not like the stories inside the main story.
In the movie Rashmika Mandanna plays the role of Vijay`s wife which is the main character where she potrays a character of a decent and traditional wife like many films and tv serials show about Indian wives who always listens to her husband and agrees to all his sayings but even after promising her that the main character( Vijay) A.K.A the hero won’t cheat her no matter the circumstances, he still cheats and goes up to his wife and expects the forgiveness and even says you cannot do the same.
After this scene many people didn’t like the movie as the women were objectified and potrayed as the men’s slave as Bobby Deoul also does the same marrying 3 wives .
Not only that there is one scene that absolutely triggered the Audiences where the hero and the heroine decided to marry breaking off the heroine engagement with someone else and told everyone about their marriage not caring to explain the situation and kissing in front of everyone in the family rather than explaning the situations to their parents while the childrens were there as they were not following the Indian Culture.
So, this scene was critisized by many of the parliament members too stating this could lead to a very bad impacts in the children as it is motivating the teenagers to do the same as many children learn different tings from movies.
There are many scene that could get the movie to be banned from different places but it is also possible that it could earn many more than it is earning now as many fans also loved Ranbir Kapoor’s acting in this movie.
