Deepika Padukone is an Indian actress who works predominantly in Hindi films. One of the highest-paid actresses in India, her accolades include three Filmfare Awards. She married Ranveer Singh who is also a very renowned actor of the Indian Flim Industry.
Recently, Deepika Padukone and her husband were chitchatting on ‘koffee with Karan’ and confirmed her affairs with other people while she was in a relationship with her boyfriend (now husband), Ranveer Singh. While in the episode, they came very happy and laughing but were soon very sad after they discussed some of the events related to their pasts.
In the recent episode of ‘KOFFEE WITH KARAN’ Deepika Padukone and Ranveer singh were being interviewed by Karan Johar and they talked a lot about their past events, past movies, their mental health, about their relationships, how it began and how its going but in the rapid fire round Deepika spoke some of the truth regarding her past affairs that made Ranveer singh and all their fans very upset and now she is getting trolled regarding her saying “I wanted to remain single for some time because I had come from a difficult relationship. I was going through a phase where I said ‘I just don’t want to be attached, don’t want to commit.’ And I enjoyed it! And then he (Ranveer Singh) came along, so I didn’t commit until he proposed to me. There was no such ‘commitment’. Even if we are technically allowed to meet other people, we will just keep coming back to each other,” Deepika said on KWK season 8.

This statement led to a flurry of responses online, with some fans appreciating her honesty, while others resorted to shaming her for her past choices. She was mainly trolled as Ranveer would appriciate her in each and every situation and always show off her to other people but after she said the statement, Ranveer looked very upset and felt like an option while he treated her as a priority.
While some fans supported Deepika, emphasizing the beauty of her honesty and the evolution of their relationship, others criticized her, labeling the phase as a ‘situationship.’ Supporters defended Deepika’s right to explore her options before committing, echoing the sentiments of modern relationships where individuals take time to understand their feelings.
Now, reacting to the controversy, Karan Johar said on an Instagram live session, “Do what you need to do because no one’s looking.” He then added that no one is hearing the trolls, “Trolling gets you nowhere. You are landing nowhere.”
Amid casual dating trolling, Deepika Padukone shared a video on her Instagram account of herself on a viral meme, ‘Just looking like a wow..’ Husband Ranveer Singh seems to be amused by the video as he bombarded DP comment section with laughing emoticons.
Actor and stand-up comic Vir Das came to Deepika’s defense, taking a dig at those criticizing her. He wrote, “Moment of silence for all the men who are upset that a Bollywood star way out of their league was casually dating for a while, and wasn’t as committed as their imaginary girlfriend is to them.”
While they love each other very much but her recent statement can become a big problem to their relationship. ‘The way Ranveer said I remember very clearly, their was pain in his eyes as well as his voice’.
While many people had different opinions related to their relationships and controversities, the couple doesn’t seems to care.
